Assistant Farm Manager – Hinds

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join our team on a progressive 720-cow dairy farm located in Hinds. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on farm work and wants to build a solid career in the dairy industry while working with modern systems and technology. About the Farm - 720 cows System 4–5 operation 250 ha under pivot irrigation Modern 70-bale rotary dairy Automatic Cup Removers (ACR’s) Rubber matted yard Protrac drafting system In-shed feeding Cows fitted with Halter collars The Role - As an Assistant Farm Manager, you will work under the direction of the Sharemilker and Farm Manager and be involved in the day-to-day running of the farm. Your duties will include: Assisting with milking and shed hygiene Monitoring animal health and reporting issues Assisting with feeding and stock movements Supporting effluent and irrigation tasks Helping maintain farm presentation, cleanliness, and equipment Following health, safety, and animal welfare standards

About You - Some dairy farming experience preferred Good stock sense and a willingness to learn Reliable, motivated, and physically fit Able to work well as part of a small team Positive attitude and good communication skills Interest in progressing within the dairy industry Eligibility - Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
