About this job
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Yard Tractor Driver / Forklift Operator to support our orchard harvest operations. This is a hands-on, outdoor role working with tractors, trailers, and 4WD orchard forklifts to ensure efficient movement and loading of fruit bins.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractor and trailer units to transport fruit bins around the orchard - Set up and position fruit bays for picking crews - Operate 4WD/orchard forklift to: - Load and unload fruit bins onto side curtain trucks - Stack and move bins safely within the yard - Maintain an organised and safe yard environment - Work confidently on uneven outdoor terrain - Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Job Requirements
- Proven experience operating tractors and trailers (orchard/harvest environment preferred) - Confident reversing trailers in tight spaces - Experience operating a 4WD/orchard forklift - Current OSH certificate and/or valid forklift licence - Strong awareness of workplace health and safety - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions - Reliable, physically fit, and capable of working in a fast-paced harvest environment - Must pass a Ministry of Justice check
- Days of work
- Up to 6 days per week, 10 hours per day Up to 40 hours with additional hours required. Full time and part time (40 hours per week)

- $26 - $28.50 per hour plus 8% holiday pay (depending on role)
