Excavator & Forklift Operator

This business manages and operates a plastic drum, container and plastic bag collection and processing site for the Agrecovery Foundation in Te Puke. They are seeking to appoint a competent Operator to assist in the processing of material and product on site and undertake allied work.

This is a job that requires a high degree of integrity and reliability as we support the safe and efficient recycling of material for the Agricultural Industry. This hands-on role combines yard work, machinery operation, some truck driving and basic administration. You’ll work with farmers, contractors, and the wider Agrecovery team to keep site operations running smoothly. You will be the face of the company for customers coming on site to make drop-offs or when you undertake pick-ups at the various agricultural sites.

The Key Duties include: • Operate excavator, forklift, and baling machine • Load, unload, and move materials around the site • Maintain a clean and safe yard and assist customers • Undertake some truck driving for material/product pick ups • Data entry, record keeping, emails, and basic reporting

Site operates Monday to Friday but open to the public only on Tuesday and Thursdays.

The ideal candidate will: • Have excellent Excavator operations experience • Be competent in driving a forklift • Have a Class 2 Licence with Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsement • Be comfortable with physical outdoor work • Have good computer skills and attention to detail • Be Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-focused • Be able to work independently and also be a good team player. Must pass pre-employment drug test Police check (convictions considered on a case-by-case basis)
