A leading New Zealand technology retailer, established in 1993, is seeking a Procurement Associate to join its Sales Support team at Head Office in Manukau, Auckland.

Position Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while contributing directly to procurement and sales support functions.
As a Procurement Associate, you will play a key role in managing customer orders, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and order requests promptly and professionally, in alignment with core company values
Efficiently process customer orders and quotes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with suppliers to obtain order confirmations, Estimated Time of Arrival (ETAs), and ensure seamless fulfillment
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve stock availability issues, delivery delays, and backorders. Monitor and manage order progression to ensure timely dispatch and successful delivery
Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates on order status, including delivery schedules, potential delays, substitutions, or partial shipments, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of business contacts, orders, and procurement details. Ensure data is consistently entered and processed with precision and efficiency
Contribute to continuous process improvements, focusing on enhancing procurement workflows, optimizing efficiency, and elevating the customer experience
Engage actively in team meetings and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations, effective communication, and alignment with departmental objectives
Job Requirements
Requirements Knowledge of IT products (hardware and software) IT-related qualification (or strong interest in technology) Experience in procurement, order processing, or supplier liaison is preferred but not required Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professionalism Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) This is an excellent opportunity to build your career within a high-performing technology retail environment, gaining hands-on experience across procurement, supplier liaison and sales support operations.
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday, roster b/w 9AM – 6PM, flexibility required around weekend work, if required. (30 hours per week) (30 hours per week)
