Local company looking for an vibrant & fit assistant to assist in the operation of a Holiday Programme. The holiday programme runs every school holidays Monday to Friday. 2 weeks for the 3 term breaks & 6 weeks over Christmas break. 12 weeks per year. Starting April 2026
This position is based in Hawera with the possibility of working in Stratford, Opunake and Eltham as required
Possibility of extending to include Afterschool Care hours. Monday to Friday 2.30 to 5.30pm during school terms.
Job Requirements
Candidate needs to demonstrate good management skills, child supervision and care skills and ability to relate to younger people with some conflict resolution and communication skills. Physically fit to be able to participate in activities with the children Must pass police vetting. Have first aid (this is not a deal breaker) Be mature minded Child management and supervision skills April 2026 Start
