Class 5 Truck Driver

A trucking company based in East Auckland is looking for full-time class 5 truck drivers to join their team.

Applicants must hold a valid New Zealand Class 5 driver’s license. While the company operates from the Auckland region, the role involves driving to destinations outside Auckland for delivery purposes.

Duties include: • Deliver and pick up shipping containers, heavy machinery and dangerous goods • Ensure accurate deliveries are made without damage and within the delivery timeframe. • Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight • Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely • Complete al paperwork and file them including logbooks and proof of delivery and handed to the company. • Ensure that vehicle has current COF (Certificate of Fitness) and RUC (Road User Charges) is up to date. • Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.

Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's licence

Freshers with a Class 5 licence and the right attitude are welcome — training will be provided

Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check and pre-employment drug test

A current dangerous goods endorsement is preferred

Experience operating a swing lift is desirable

Must have a flexible schedule to work various hours, including weekends

Must be willing to travel outside of the Auckland region for deliveries

Must be physically and medically fit for the job

Must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, punctual, reliable and demonstrate a can-do attitude with a willingness to get the job done
