Part Time Chef
About this job
Are you an experienced chef wanting consistency and daytime hours. Or perhaps you have many of the skills needed but are still looking for guidance/training in the role. A popular Taupo cafe and cakery in the CBD is looking for a reliable part time chef to join their team. It's a busy, creative kitchen role so you must be able to handle the pressure and multitask as needed. If you have relevant cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, or have trained as a chef please get in touch. The hours are generally between 8am - 3.30-4pm, five days per week (incl. weekends).
Job Requirements
Previous relevant experience Must be reliable and have a good work ethic Basic knife skills of an advantage. Be aware and alert. Health and safety in the workplace. Understanding of allergens and cross contamination. Provide consistent products. Read, write and understand in English - clearly. Good hygiene. Follows instructions. Can be creative. Handle pressure. Multi task - you are never standing still
