Housekeeper

A family in Northcote is looking for a Domestic Housekeeper to to maintain their private residence.

Duties: • Carry out daily cleaning and upkeep of home, including interior areas, immediate outdoor spaces. • Perform routine & detailed cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting rubbish removal, bathroom cleaning, carpet steam cleaning & detailed surface cleaning. • Maintain kitchens & food preparation areas including washing dishes, utensils cleaning appliances cupboards benches pantries and floors. • Assist with meal preparation & cooking with a strong preference for experience in preparing Indian cuisine. • Strip make beds, change bed linen regularly to maintain hygiene & comfort standards. • Manage laundry duties including sorting washing drying ironing & basic mending of clothes, household linen. • Maintain minimum stock levels & inventories around property and notify when replenishment is required • Work comfortably around household pets including pet bird.

• Prior experience of 5+ years in a housekeeping or similar domestic role is preferred. • Ability to manage a range of household tasks independently and efficiently. • Good understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and safe use of cleaning equipment. • Cooking experience, particularly Indian cuisine, will be highly regarded. • Physically fit and comfortable performing manual household tasks. • Trustworthy, organised, and respectful of privacy in a private residence setting. • Must have reliable transport or ability to be live in. • Must be able to pass MOJ and drug test.
