Trainee - Painter / Water Proofer

Our employer is a local Dunedin company with branches in Central Otago and the Mackenzie Country specializing in Painting, Waterproofing and Flooring.

They are currently looking for Trainee Painter / Water Proofers to join their team. The successful candidates will have a genuine desire to commit to a career in painting and or water proofing.

You will be working within the wider Dunedin area with opportunities to travel during week days to Southland, Central Otago and the Mackenzie Country.

Key Tasks and responsibilities include: - Working within our waterproofing crew installing waterproofing membranes of all types to an acceptable standard. - Carry out painting and decorating projects to a high standard

- A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship - Ability to lead by example, work independently, and follow instructions - Good time management and communication skills - Minimum restricted driver’s license and reliable transport to work - Pass a pre-employment drug test - Undertake a medical assessment - Undertake a Ministry of Justice criminal background check (convictions considered on a case by case basis) - Up to date presentable CV with at least two contactable references - Reliable with a genuine work ethic - Desire to learn
