Heavy Driver/Excavator Operator

Looking for Driver/ Excavator Operators in Lower Hutt. The employee will drive the heavy trucks to site and then operate the hydro-vac machinery on the back of the truck to excavate earth, rock and rubble. Work is dirty and labour intensive (this is not solely a driving role). Job duties: • Driving heavy vehicle/excavator to construction sites • Reading instructions/plans and marking out areas • Operating heavy vehicle/excavator (hydro flushing/jetting & hydro excavation) to remove earth, rock and rubble • Maintaining truck/excavator • Keeping records • Following safe operating procedures
Job Requirements
At least three years construction related experience and a class 2 or 4 driver licence are needed. Must be physically fit – role not suitable for those who want to sit down and drive all day long. Must also be able to pass an MOJ check and a drug test.
