Duty Manager

A Kapiti restaurant is seeking a hands-on, confident Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant.
This role is responsible for ensuring front-of-house and bar operations run smoothly, service standards are upheld, liquor licence obligations are met, and the overall guest experience reflects our brand.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead front-of-house and ensure wait staff and kitchen stay on task • Maintain service standards, ambience, and smooth service flow • Ensure all liquor licence and host responsibility obligations are met • Monitor upcoming staffing levels and shift coverage • Address performance issues on shift and log concerns for follow-up • Oversee bar operations and maintain accurate beverage inventory • Check all incoming stock (vintages, varietals, invoices) • Assist with bartending, waiting tables, or dishes during busy periods

Job Requirements
• Proven hospitality supervisory experience • Strong knowledge of restaurant service cycles • Current LCQ and NZ Duty Manager’s Certificate (essential) • Must have an Up-to-date CV
