About this job
Stuff You'll Do: ● Be able to follow instructions ● Make sure recipes and amounts are followed exactly for consistency, quality, and cost control. ● Help prep food in the kitchen - assist the chef in getting menu items or ingredients ready. ● Follow rules to keep food prep areas safe and clean. ● Keep all equipment and work areas in good shape. ● Tell the manager if you find any problems that could affect work. ● Order and manage inventory to keep things running smoothly (if asked and shown how). ● Talk to and support the team. ● Keep the kitchen morale high. ● Maintain a good relationship between kitchen and front-of-house staff. ● Do other reasonable tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Skills We Want: Technical: ● At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen ● Food safety course within the last three years ● Computer skills: Microsoft Office, restaurant management software ● Time management skills
Interpersonal & Personal Skills: ● Creativity ● Good communication skills (writing and speaking) ● Customer service skills ● Ability to follow instructions ● Committed to the team, the restaurant, and being excellent ● Positive attitude ● Ability to work well under pressure ● Reliable and flexible with changes
- Days of work
- Includes a mix of day and night shifts, with late shifts finishing around 11:30ish PM. Must be reliable and punctual. (40 hours per week)
