West Auckland based company seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 2 Truck Driver to join a waste management team The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a rubbish or recycling collection vehicle to collect, transport, and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures and local authority guidelines.

Responsibilities include but not limited to : • Operate a rubbish collection or recycling vehicle along designated routes • Collect household, commercial, and industrial waste or recyclables from bins, skips, and collection points • Ensure all loads are safely secured and transported to appropriate disposal or recycling facilities • Conduct daily pre-start vehicle checks (oil, water, tyres, brakes, and overall vehicle condition) • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly • Comply with all health and safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies • Work collaboratively with loaders and crew members to ensure efficient and timely collections • Maintain accurate records of collection times, volumes, and vehicle usage • Provide courteous and professional service to members of the public, responding to queries appropriately • Keep the vehicle clean and well-presented at all times

Job Requirements

• Valid and clean Class 2 (Medium Rigid Vehicle) Driver Licence • 6 months to 2 years’ driving experience (experience operating refuse or commercial vehicles is desirable but not essential) • Good knowledge of local roads and routes within West Auckland • Ability to follow scheduled routes and work with minimal supervision • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team • Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and walking • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions • Willingness to start early mornings (6:00am) and work Monday to Saturday, with occasional weekends or public holidays as required

Monday - Saturday: Start 6am until finished (35 hours per week)
