We are looking for a motivated and reliable Baker to join our Bakery Department in Hokitika. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality baked goods and enjoys working as part of a busy, supportive team. Duties include; Daily preparation and baking of breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products, maintaining our consistent product quality, presentation, and freshness Following recipes and production schedules accurately; Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness; Assisting with stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation; Working collaboratively with the bakery and wider store team Ideally you have some experience, preferably a qualification, or a keen willingness for training.
Job Requirements
Baking experience is preferred (trade-qualified baker an advantage but not essential) A strong work ethic with good time management skills; Attention to detail and pride in your work; Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards; Reliable, punctual, and able to work early starts and weekends; Able to work independently and as part of a team; The work is physically demanding, so a good level of physical fitness is essential. Training is available for the right candidate. Must pass pre-employment health and safety checks.
