Supporting Teacher needed in Penrose to work alongside Lead Teachers to deliver culturally grounded parent workshops and targeted NCEA learner support. These roles focus on direct learner engagement small-group tutoring and maintaining safe respectful learning environments.
Key Responsibilities o Support delivery of Talanoa Ako parent workshops o Provide small-group and targeted NCEA tutoring o Assist learners with CAAs, assessments, revision, and learning resources o Support attendance tracking, surveys and reporting requirements o Maintain culturally safe respectful and encouraging learning spaces
Job Requirements
o NZ Teaching Registration (current preferred) o Teaching background in Literacy and/or Numeracy o Experience supporting NCEA learners o Strong cultural awareness and relationship-building skills o Ability to deliver the Talanoa Ako after school. • Police Vetting Requirement o A current NZ Police Vet is required o Where Teaching Registration has expired a Police Vet completed within the last 2 months will be accepted • Additional Requirements o Full NZ Driver Licence o Legal entitlement to work in Aotearoa New Zealand
