Cafe Assistant and Barista

A local Coffee Shop employer is looking for an enthusiastic Cafe Assistant and Barista to join their team in Seaview!

We are looking for someone to: •Accurately take and process orders, ensuring customer preferences are understood and met. • Handle cash, EFTPOS, and point-of-sale systems with accuracy and efficiency. • Resolve customer issues in a professional and solutions-focused manner. • Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages to high standards • Preparation, presentation, and replenishment of cabinet and menu food. • Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are strictly followed. • Keep service areas, tables, and cafe floor clean, tidy, and inviting. • Support daily opening and closing procedures, including setup, restocking, and cleaning tasks. • Participate in stock management, including rotation, replenishment, and basic inventory checks. • Actively contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.

This is a casual position to support leave, where you could be working up to 10 hours per week, perfect for someone studying or working part time who wants a bit of extra income without a heavy schedule!

Must have previous Barista experience to ensure consistent quality of coffee through correct calibration, extraction, and presentation. Reliable transport for 6am starts Cooking experience is highly desirable but not a requirement Be prompt, friendly, and professional Flexible to work across the week
