Silviculture workers

Mahi Rakau Forest Management requires experienced Silviculture workers. We operate in the Bay of Plenty region. Full-time, permanent positions available now, minimum 30 hours, max 40 hours per week at the starting rate of $29.66.
We run a fortnightly pay cycle. Pruners and planters must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable practical experience or a L4-related qualification.
Job Requirements
Operational tasks include: • Preparation of forestry blocks for planting specifics • Planting seedlings • Reworks • Clearing of wilding pines • Regenerating, pulling of forestry blocks • Pruning and clearing of forestry blocks Personal specifications • Healthy and drug free • High level of fitness. The job sites are outdoors in forestry blocks in and around Rotorua. You will be expected to share the benefit of your experience with less experienced team members. You will be expected to lead the way in sharing your knowledge of the nature of working in the forests. You will be fully supported by the management structures and take responsibilities around health and safety, and work safe awareness. We work in all weather and in difficult terrain. Ongoing NZQA training will be provided. Please provide qualifications, applicable references and contactable referees with your application.
