Automotive Mechanic

Exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join a family-owned workshop that specialises in European cars in Penrose, Auckland. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of cars. The work includes everything from routine servicing to more complex mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic tasks. You’ll work closely with the owner and the existing team to ensure that every car leaving the workshop is safe and performing at its best. You will be: • Working on European cars from brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen and more. • Performing scheduled servicing, general repairs, and full mechanical diagnostics. • Investigating issues using modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment. • Completing repairs on engines, suspension, brakes, cooling systems, electrics, and more. • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used. • Following all workshop safety procedures and contribute to a tidy, organised work environment.

• Must have at least 3 years’ experience working as an automotive mechanic. A qualification in the field is a plus. • Solid knowledge on European vehicles and car brands • Experience with diagnostic tools and fault-finding. • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Must hold a restricted or full Class 1 driver’s licence (manual preferred) • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test & police check
