Cafe Duty Manager

A well-know cafe in Takapuna is looking for a Duty Manager to join their team.

In this role, you will: • Lead and develop team members across the entire business • Set up and pack down daily operations • Ensure customers have a great experience, whether dining in or taking out • Manage sales targets, staff targets, and customer complaints • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards • Order beverage supplies • Contribute to rostering of the barista, kitchen, and front of house teams • Assist all team members in the day-to-day operations in terms of counter service, payments and sections. Also assist in the planning and development of new business operations.

To be considered for this role, you will hold: • A Manager's Certificate (or be eligible to apply for a Manager's Certificate) for the sale and supply of liquor • Must have: At least 2-4 years’ experience in hospitality • Exceptional people skills • Experience working in a high-speed environment • Sound understanding of wine and craft beer • Excellent Coffee Production skills. • Great teamwork and a willingness to always learn and improve • The ability to inspire and grow new team members • Relevant Certificate, Apprenticeship, Barista, Professional qualification • Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check • Reliable transportation to and from work
