We’re looking for motivated Cargo Handlers to join our hard-working Container Services team. This is shift-based work where no two days are the same—one day you might be securing containers on ships, the next learning to operate heavy machinery. Variety is part of the job.
It’s a great opportunity to build skills across port operations, with room to grow your career, all while working alongside a supportive team.
What you’ll need
You’ll need (or be willing to obtain) a New Zealand Class 2 Driver’s Licence and a Forklift Licence, along with:
A strong focus on safety
Good physical fitness
A team-first attitude with initiative
Clear communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
A customer-focused approach
Availability for 24/7 shift work
Comfort working outdoors and in confined spaces

Job Requirements
Class 2 Licence
Valid Forklift Licence
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
WTR experience is desirable
Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice (MoJ) check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
