South Auckland based employer is seeking for an experienced Drainlayer to join their busy team. The job is primarily based in the Auckland region, with periodic overnight travel required to Gisborne (accommodation and allowances provided) .
Key responsibilities:
• Inspect and produce daily prestart of equipment/trucks in use for each day. • Follow hazard procedures. • Maintain accurate time sheets, and daily job activities. • Drive TWC vehicles in accordance with NZ Traffic laws and best trade practice. • Work as part of a team. • Perform manual labour tasks as required. • Not operating any equipment or plant that you have not been trained to use. • Follow and undertake work instructions. • Maintain a safe work site. • Ensure tasks are completed in an efficient manner without supervision.
Ideal candidate must have a can do positive attitude, have the ability to follow instructions, must be safety conscious and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Requirements
Must hold a full Class NZ 1 drivers’ licence and own transport Must have at least 2-years’ experience in a similar position Must pass a Ministry of Justice check Must pass a drug and alcohol test
