The Kaiawhina plays a critical role within the daily multi-agency Safety Assessment Meetings (SAM), Within this forum, the Kaiawhina contributes to the sharing of critical information, supports effective triage processes, assists in assessing risk and safety, and helps prioritise coordinated actions and referrals that best meet the needs of whanau. Key responsibilities include: -Coordinating and managing all administrative functions related to SAMs and other components of the Family Harm Response Model. -Supporting risk assessment and triage processes, prioritising coordinated actions and referrals that best meet the needs of whanau. -Ensuring privacy, confidentiality, and manaakitanga in all information sharing. -Upholding tikanga Maori practices while working alongside multi-agency partners.
Job Requirements
-Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the team and external stakeholders -Establish and maintain effective relationships with team and stakeholders and gain their trust and respect. -Have strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and multi-task -Have a positive attitude and ability to thrive in a high pressure and dynamic work environment -Have excellent administration and keyboard skills are critical -Have experience in working in a Kaupapa Maori environment -Has a strong working knowledge of Iwi ki Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka a Maui. -Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team and be able to work unsupervised. -Be committed to whanau ora (smoke free, healthy lifestyle) to comply with WM health policies. -Be able to provide a clean, clear police check and Oranga Tamariki Vetting aligning with the Children’s Act 2014 -Fluent with Microsoft computer software.
