About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, motivated, and people-focused leader to join the Airside team as a Ramp Duty Manager. In this role, you will provide overall leadership and supervision of the Ramp Services Operations Team, ensure safe, efficient, and compliant ramp operations while delivering high-quality service.

You will play a key role in overseeing daily ramp activities, driving productivity, monitoring operational efficiency, and fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. Strong operational leadership, sound decision-making, and a safety-first mindset are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily Ramp operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time performance. Ensure all company, customer, and airline regulations, procedures, and requirements are implemented and standards are met. Maintain oversight to ensure the right resourcing is applied for daily operations. Maintain communication with all Menzies Aviation departments and stay updated with any operational developments. Manage team performance to improve service delivery, enhance quality, and reduce costs. Resolve a wide range of challenges that may arise from day-to-day operations. Attend to staff daily queries regarding rosters, leave applications, payroll, and HR-related matters. Actively promote a positive, professional, and safety-first work environment across the Ramp team.

Job Requirements

Must be a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident. Clean Criminal History. Minimum 3–5 years’ airport operations experience, including ramp and/or airside functions. Strong planning, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to coach staff, maintain morale, and ensure operational excellence. Confident decision-maker with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. Must hold a full New Zealand Driver’s License and have your own reliable transportation.
