A busy venue in Levin is looking for a Kitchenhand / Front of House All-Rounder to join their team. This role involves working across both back of house and front of house, providing excellent customer service while supporting daily kitchen operations. The position includes approximately 3 shifts per week in the kitchen/dishes and 2 shifts per week front of house.
Duties include: Washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment and toilets, maintaining a clean and organised work environment, assisting with basic food preparation, restocking kitchen supplies, and supporting chefs and kitchen staff. Front of house duties include greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling reservations, ticketing, seating guests, processing cash and EFTPOS transactions, and communicating orders with kitchen staff. Barista training will be provided.

Job Requirements
• Previous experience in hospitality or retail preferred • Strong communication and customer service skills • Good attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling the till • Confident using EFTPOS • Good phone manner • Well presented with a friendly, welcoming attitude • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and use initiative • Able to work well under pressure • Reliable team player • Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
