Hauraki District Council is looking for a hands-on Drainage Serviceperson - Kaitiaki (Awakeri) to join our dedicated Drainage Team based in Paeroa.
About the Role This is a practical, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and being part of a supportive team. You will play an important role in maintaining and building Council’s land drainage and stormwater systems that support our local communities.
Key responsibilities include: -Maintaining and repairing land drainage schemes -Construction and maintenance of stormwater systems -Operating tools, plant, and machinery -General labouring duties as required -Working safely and looking out for your team -Taking pride in delivering quality work for the community

Job Requirements
-At least 2 years’ experience in drainage, civil, or similar work -NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 3) or similar -Full NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 2 preferred) -Spray Applicator’s Ticket -TMO qualification -Practising Safe Use of a Concrete Saw Certificate -Confidence using plant, equipment, and machinery -Ability to pass MOJ and pre-employment drug testing
