This work is based in Ashburton. Our employer has secured a large Super T contract and is looking for an experience Crane Operator with crawler crane/large mobile crane experience to join our team at our brand-new, purpose-built Ashburton site. What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be operating crawler cranes and forklifts to keep things moving around the yard. Day to day, you’ll be: • Lifting panels from decks into storage • Loading trucks and placing reinforcing cages • Doing daily pre-start checks on cranes before use • Checking lifting gear before each lift (ropes, clutches, spreader bars, etc.) • Carrying out routine maintenance and small repairs on cranes and gear • Making sure lifting gear is stored safely and properly

You’ll also: • Check panels for any faults before loading and flag issues to the manager • Load trucks safely to avoid damage in transit • Complete QA paperwork before trucks leave the yard • Let the Crane & Dispatch Supervisor know about any safety or maintenance concerns

Safety & Teamwork Safety is a big deal here. You’ll be expected to: • Keep your work area clean and tidy • Follow all health and safety rules and wear the right PPE • Look out for yourself and others working around you • Lend a hand with other site work when needed, including yard, construction, and standard product tasks

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience operating crawler cranes / large mobile cranes • Experienced forklift operator • A good understanding of safe lifting and load handling • Someone reliable, practical, and happy to pitch in • A team player with good communication skills • Must pass a pre-employment drug test • Must pass a MOJ check • Applicants must have New Zealand residency or be legally able to work in New Zealand without restrictions.

Days of work
Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as required 7.00am to 5.00pm (45 hours per week)
