The Waikeria department of corrections are looking for Corrections Officers to work at their prison based 21km North of Otorohanga and 9km south of Kihikihi. Probation Corrections Officer are great role models and look for opportunities to engage with people in a positive way. In this role, you have the ability to not only change the lives of whanau but also influence change through your interactions.
Positions available are in Waikeria mens prison and Auckland Region Womens Corrections Facility based at Waikeria. Please identify where you prefer to obtain work.

You will also need to pass a drug test and have a clean MOJ. A full New Zealand Driver Licence or eligible on a Restricted and be medically fit for employment and complete a Medical Assessment and Physical Readiness Assessment
The benefits: The starting salary for this position is $70,019 per annum. Once in the role there are opportunities to increase your salary as you achieve national qualifications Level 3 at $74,697, Level 3 above at $76,697, Level 4 at $80,213 and Level 4 above at $82,213.

Job Requirements
Full license. Must declare conflicts of interest and previous convictions. Pass a drug test and declare any previous charges. Must be able to pass a medical assessment and work rostered shifts (must be available for weekends). You will undergo a comprehensive selection process that will assess you against the employers core requirements.
