We are a popular eatery and bar located in the heart of Onehunga. We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to join us. You will be an essential member our culinary team, responsible for a specific section of the kitchen. You will be preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and flavour. The ideal candidate is a team player, reliable, and possesses excellent culinary skills and character. Key Responsibilities: * Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and plating guidelines. Maintain high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. * Section Management: Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g. grill, pastry, saute). Coordinate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. * Quality Control: Monitor portion sizes and taste dishes to ensure they meet The Rusty Morris standards. Address any inconsistencies promptly. * Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with the Sous Chef and other chefs to maintain a harmonious and efficient kitchen environment. Provide support to fellow kitchen staff as needed. * Food Safety: Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices. Ensure proper storage, handling, and cooking of food items. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the assigned section. * Training and Support: Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff. Share knowledge and culinary techniques to enhance the skills of the team. * Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory for the assigned section. Communicate with the Head Chef or Sous Chef regarding ingredient needs and stock levels.

Job Requirements

Must have atleast 2 years of experience, as role will involve upskilling to a higher role later. Training will be provided Expected start date: Immediately

Tuesday through to Sunday from 9am until close (10pm -11pm) (40 hours per week)
