Duty Manager

We’re a locally owned, family-run business in Whitianga, and we’re growing our team. This role is part of strengthening our roster as some part-time staff move to casual hours — no one is leaving.

We’re looking for a reliable and capable Duty Manager, or someone ready to step into a DM role, to join us in a well-supported position working alongside experienced owners and senior staff.

You won’t be left on your own — full training and ongoing support are provided.

About the Role 37.5–40.5 hours per week (depending on Duty Manager status) Tuesday–Saturday roster Run the store during your shift Deliver excellent customer service Ensure compliance with alcohol licensing and store procedures Physical role including regular stock handling and lifting

Retail or hospitality experience Reliable, calm, and professional attitude Willingness to learn and take responsibility Holds a Duty Manager Certificate or is willing to work towards one LCQ (or willingness to obtain) Forklift licence (preferred) Class 1 Restricted or Full Driver Licence Able to pass Drug Test and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
