Food Service Assistant

An Invercargill Rest Home is looking for a reliable and organised Food Service Assistant to join their team. This role suits someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a supportive team. Key Responsibilities • Distributing daily food essentials such as milk and bread to care houses • Packaging daily and weekly food bags • Delivering food bags, fruit, and other supplies • Completing stock takes • Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards • General cleaning duties
Hours and Start Date • 40 - 60 hours per fortnight • Monday to Friday, with school hours flexibility available • Immediate start If you are dependable, motivated, and keen to support the wellbeing of residents through quality food service, we would love to hear from you.

Job Requirements
• Must pass a Ministry of Justice background check • Must pass a pre employment drug test • Strong organisational skills • A positive team player who can also work confidently on their own • A current full drivers licence • Food Safety Certificate is an advantage but not required
