Apple Picker - Temporary position
About this job
Up to 40 temporary workers are needed for Apple Picking/Harvest at an orchard about 10 minutes north of Timaru. The job starts on 3 March 2026 and lasts for around four weeks.
You must have your own transport, as you may need to work in any of the five orchard blocks. All work is done on the ground — no ladders or platforms. The job is outdoors, so you need to be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Job Requirements
-Physically fit -minimum 150cm tall to be able to lift apple bag over the edge of bin. 20kgs -No colour blindness and good vision. -No existing injuries -must pass a drug test and work well in a team.
- Days of work
- 50-60 hours per week. 7.30am to 4.30pm, six days per week. Start 03/03/2026. (50 hours per week)
