Truck Driver - Class 2 and Class 4 (Bin Collection)

Looking for a Class 2 or Class 4 Truck Driver role?

This role is based at the Onehunga yard, where all daily runs start. Sites are located across Auckland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the diligent and faithful performance of the following duties:

- Collecting rubbish bins from apartment bin rooms and other sites - Handling bins ranging in size from 240L, 660L, and 1100L - Completing all required documentation related to bin collections - Keeping the vehicle clean and tidy, and carrying out minor maintenance tasks when required - Following standard reporting procedures for deliveries, collections, and missing bins - Completing daily vehicle checks including oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety conditions, equipment security, road user charges, and hubodometer readings - Advising the employer of any required maintenance or road user charges - Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required

Must hold a clean, full Class 2 and/or Class 4 licence (overseas licences are acceptable)

Must have a minimum 1 year’s experience driving a Class 2 vehicle or above (mandatory)

Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling, as commercial bins can be heavy

Must be able to maintain a proactive approach to health and safety for yourself and others

Must be able to maintain a professional road manner at all times

Must be available to work weekends if required

Must be reliable, consistent and positive attitude

Must be able to pass a pre-employment police check and drug test
