We have an exciting opportunity for an Employment Consultant to join our vibrant team based in New Plymouth. If you have experience in customer service, recruitment, sales, social services or other relevant experience, we want to hear from you.
What you will do • Meet clients referred from Work and Income and focus on work first employment pathways leading to financial independence. • Build strong connections with local employers and businesses, government and industry partners, disability support and other providers to create employment opportunities for jobseekers. • Get to know your jobseekers, understand their stories and build trust to support them into mahi aligned with their goals, experience and strengths. • Help jobseekers upskill by identifying training needs and liaising with training providers to access short course certification.
Your background • Current full NZ drivers licence. Reimbursement for work related travel is included. • Must be able to pass a police check • Employment Consultants come from a wide range of backgrounds including recruitment, social services, sales, business development, government and industry. • Strong life skills, enthusiasm for helping people, resilience and the ability to bring out the best in others. • A driven and proactive approach with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Full class 1 license and reliable transport Must be able to pass a police check Able to motivate and support people to find work Relevant life/work experience and labour market knowledge - background in contact centre, case management, employment/recruitment etc Must provide a professional cover letter to progress in application
