About this job

Te Whatu Ora Auckland Central is seeking to employ a team Administrator, Medical Oncology Service. This is a great opportunity to join Aotearoa's largest cancer and blood service, and play an important role in supporting patient care. As a Team Administrator within the Medical Oncology Service, you will work alongside doctors, clinical nurses, schedulers, and fellow administrators to keep services running smoothly. You will help coordinate workforce needs, patient appointments, and day to day operations to ensure patients and whanau receive timely, well organised care. What You will Be Doing In this role you will • Support clinicians and clinical nurse specialists • Manage communication and scheduling needs • Assist with coordinating outpatient work and patient flow • Provide administration support to the wider team • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry • Help ensure smooth and efficient service delivery This is a high impact role where strong organisation, communication, and reliability are essential.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring • Experience in administration and/or recruitment coordination • Strong organisation and time management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Good relationship building skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams) • High attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks • Professionalism and understanding of confidentiality in healthcare The service is guided by values of Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Ahurutanga, Mana Motuhake and Wairuatanga, and welcomes applicants from all communities including Maori, Pacific, disabled and rainbow whanau.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years secretarial/clerical experience supporting managers at a senior level or equivalent relevant experience • Proficiency with MS applications – at least intermediate level, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Intermediate to advanced level administration qualification with a high level of literacy. • High level of proficiency with Outlook calendars and emails • Experience in dealing with matters of a highly confidential nature • Excellent organisational skills and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills • Strong ability to use initiative • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving ability • Proven negotiation and conflict management abilities • Must pass all pre employment checks • A commitment to biculturalism • A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori Desired: • Relevant Tertiary Qualification • Experience in the health sector and knowledge of hospital services and structures • Experience with Medirota – rostering software

Days of work
Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm to be discussed (37.5 hours per week)
Pay Details
$72,035 - $75.050 - depending on skills, knowledge and experience
