Duty Manager

Ponsonby restaurant and cocktail bar is looking for a Duty Manager to join their team.
Duties in this role include: • Complying with The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, all amendments, any local alcohol policies. • Making beverage offerings with speed to company standards as mandated by the Venue Manager. • Maintaining a clean work environment, including following the cleaning schedules. • Ensuring opening and closing procedures are adhered to. • Assist the Venue Manager to ensure that staff costs of the venue are consistently hitting targets. • Ensure systems established by the Venue Manager are followed by staff. • Effectively manage daily cash handlings, variances and discrepancies. • Management of customer experience and engagement. • Manage and facilitate a high staff morale within your team.
Job Requirements
• Must have LCQ/GM certificate. • A deep understanding of customer experience management • Previous experience in high-volume/high-end cocktail bars • Previous experience with craft beer and boutique wine • A minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role in a hospitality business • Previous experience in managing teams Experience with roster management and quality standards • Proficient use of the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs/Gmail • Experience in dealing with various contractors and suppliers
- Days of work
- 5 days - across Tue-Sun. Can start from 11am and finish at 5am. Roster changes within those days/times. (38 hours per week)
