Garden Labourer

Preparing and maintaining seedbeds and growing sites to promote healthy plant growth. Propagating and planting trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs to enhance landscape aesthetics. Preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, and laying instant turf. Maintaining landscaped and grassed areas through weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing. Pruning trees and hedges, installing plant supports, and protecting plants from pests and environmental damage. Developing work plans, selecting appropriate materials and plants, and scheduling tasks efficiently. Installing hardscape elements such as paths and patios, and softscape features including soil beds and planting areas. Examining trees to assess health, diagnose issues, and determine suitable treatment methods. Pruning limbs and shaping branches using chainsaws and hand tools in accordance with safety standards. Applying insecticides, fungicides, and other treatments to control pests and diseases.

Full New Zealand Driver Licence or Overseas Equivalent, with experience towing trailers Good physical fitness, with the ability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
