About this job

The harvesting of fruit involves the removal of the fruit from the tree using the correct technique, carefully placing them in the picking bucket and, when the picking bucket is full, gently transferring them into a bin. Fruit is removed from the bottom of the tree first and then a ladder or hydralada is used to pick the fruit from the top branches. Training will be provided in: • food safety requirements. • identifying the appropriate fruit for harvesting. • the correct picking technique. • the safe use of ladders or hydralada.

Job Requirements

Experience is preferred, although training is provided. The physical ability to climb and move orchard ladders is a must. Transport available at a cost

Days of work
Minimum 30 hours between Monday and Friday, 7.30am to 5pm Weekend work optional (30 hours per week)
