We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Duty Manager to join our team in Hamilton. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is confident running bar operations, managing staff, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.
About the Role: As a Licensed Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar and gaming areas. You will lead staff on shift, ensure compliance with alcohol and gaming regulations, and deliver excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities: -Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures -Manage staff on shift and ensure efficient service during trading hours -Prepare and manage staff rosters to meet business needs -Ensure full compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 -Monitor patron behaviour and apply host responsibility practices -Operate and supervise TAB services, including customer support and cash handling -Oversee gaming machine operations in line with venue policies and regulations -Manage cash handling, daily banking, and reconciliation -Operate POS systems and investigate/report discrepancies -Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships -Maintain high standards of customer service and venue presentation -Ensure all health and safety requirements are met -Manage bar budgets and control costs -Develop and support marketing initiatives to help grow the business

Job Requirements
-Current LCQ and Manager’s Certificate, or ability to obtain -Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or Bar management role -Strong understanding of alcohol licensing laws and compliance requirements -Good communication, leadership, and organisational skills -Must be reliable -Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and perform well under pressure -Ability to pass a drug test -Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check -Full Class 1 DL
