Security Guard - Retail Hornby Full time

Security Guard roles become available, based at one of our leading retail shopping complexes. Security experience is essential, as the right candidate will have a proven history of reliability and motivation in the workplace. We do require you to have your Certificate of Approval prior to your application. You will be required to gain your First Aid Certification if you do not already have this. In this role you will have a mature outlook as you are providing a professional security presence and will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees as well as supporting the Centre Management team in all areas of risk. Primary duties and responsibilities include patrolling and monitoring premises, providing a customer friendly and professional security presence, maintaining vigilance, and acting in a swift and calm manner when required. You will always maintain the highest integrity and honesty and be able to work as part of a team. You will possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal as you must be understood by the team across the RT, complete daily Security Reports and answer internal emails.

A current COA (Certificate of Approval) - PRIOR to application. First Aid Certificate is preferred (completion could be arranged by Management for the right person). A high level of fitness – this is a physically demanding position - You will be on your feet throughout your entire shift. Great verbal and written communication. Medium Level Computing Skills. CCTV Camera Training preferred but not essential. Have reliable transport to get to and from site reliably. Passing a Ministry of Justice Criminal History Check is essential, along with valid working rights in New Zealand
