Lending Consultant

Employer based in Hamilton is looking for a lending consultant to to join their team. As an Entry-Level Lending Consultant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our clients through the loan application process. You’ll learn the ins and outs of consumer and/or business lending while developing critical financial and interpersonal skills. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start a career in the financial services industry. Key responsibilities would be: Assist clients in understanding lending products, application processes, and eligibility requirements Gather and verify client information and documentation for loan applications Conduct preliminary assessments of loan suitability based on client needs and financial profiles Support senior lending consultants and loan officers with administrative and client-facing tasks Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM and loan management systems Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner Stay informed about lending policies, products, and regulatory guidelines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Basic understanding of financial principles and lending concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn financial software systems Customer-oriented mindset and a proactive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must pass a police check, credit check and drugs test
