Class 5 Truck Driver Needed!
A transportation company based in Manurewa is looking for an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. The role involves transporting construction and landscaping materials between sites.
No overnight stays required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Driving trucks and heavy vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely.
• Planning and following safe, time-efficient routes based on schedules and road conditions.
• Securing loads correctly using straps, chains, or tarps.
• Assisting with loading and unloading goods to ensure safe and balanced weight distribution.
• Checking and verifying delivery paperwork to confirm correct items and quantities.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including brakes, lights, tyres, and fluid levels.
• Ensuring compliance with New Zealand road laws, fatigue management requirements, and weight regulations.
• Reporting mechanical issues promptly and arranging necessary repairs or maintenance.
Job Requirements
• Valid New Zealand Class 5 Driver Licence. • Dangerous Goods endorsement will be a bonus • At least one year of work experience in a relevant industry. • Must be available for early mornings, nights, and weekend shifts as required. • Must be physically fit to handle loading, unloading, and long driving hours. • Good physical fitness and manual tasks.
