Dairy Farm Assistant
About this job
This farm property lies in between Morrinsvile and Te Aroha Townships. You will be assisting with milking a herd of 650 cows on a 160 hectare farm in a herringbone shed 40 stalls side by side. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day, shifting cows and feeding, fencing, weed control, calving, calf rearing, shed cleaning and setup, identifying and alerting managers to sick cows, setting fences and other general farm duties.
A shared 3-bedroom house is included. No pets or smoking in the accommodation. This is valued at $6,067 per annum and will be deducted as rent from your wages.
Job Requirements
Must be able to pass a drug test Must be able to pass a Police check. No criminal convictions Must have a minimum of a restricted drivers licence and own transport Must live on the farm. You will be sharing a 3 bedroom house with other workers No Pets. No smoking or vaping in the accommodation On the job training will be provided
