Dairy Farm Assistant

Putaruru based employer is looking for a hardworking dairy farm assistant to join their team . your Key Responsibilities would be : Assist with daily milking routines, including plant setup, cleaning, and dairy hygiene Monitor animal health and welfare, including calving support and stock handling. Assist with feeding, pasture rotation, and reporting on animal and pasture condition. Maintain farm hygiene, sheds, yards, and equipment, including basic maintenance. Operate farm machinery safely and follow all health and safety procedures Work collaboratively with the farm team and contribute to continuous improvement Location of work: Putaruru

To be successful in this role, you will need: Completed compulsory secondary education or obtained a certificate at/above NZQF level 1 (or equivalent) Knowledge of milking systems and dairy hygiene standards Understanding of animal welfare and on-farm health and safety requirements. Physically fit and capable of farm work in all weather conditions. Reliable, hard-working, and able to work independently and within a team. Good mathematical and communication skills and a positive attitude. Willingness to work rostered hours, including weekends and public holidays. Complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test. Provide an up-to-date criminal record check
