Truck and Trailer Driver
About this job
We are seeking an experienced Class 5 Truck and Trailer Driver to join our log cartage operation. This role involves driving a 46-tonne truck and trailer unit, transporting logs safely and efficiently between forestry sites and designated locations.
The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. While training can be provided in logging operations, proven experience driving trucks hauling logs is essential. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who genuinely wants to work and take pride in their driving and the equipment.
Job Requirements
Essential: * Full Class 5 Driver Licence * Proven experience driving trucks with log trailers * Confident and competent operating heavy vehicles * Strong understanding of safe driving practices and load management * Reliable and punctual – turns up to work every day * Positive attitude and willingness to work long hours when required * Own reliable transport to get to and from the work site * Physically fit for the demands of the role * Convictions considered on a case by case basis - MOJ
Desirable: * Previous experience in forestry or logging operations * Knowledge of log cartage routes and forestry sites * Mechanical awareness of heavy vehicles
