Forklift Technician

Full-time – Mobile Role – Your van is your workshop. We’re looking for a skilled and self-managing onsite forklift technician to join our team. This role is based out of Ashburton and reports to the Christchurch branch. You’ll work independently, travelling to customer sites to service, maintain, and repair a wide range of forklifts. If you have a background in heavy diesel, auto electrical, or agricultural machinery, this would be a good fit.

Key Responsibilities: Perform onsite servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts and related equipment Conduct routine maintenance, safety checks, and OSH compliance inspections Respond to breakdowns and provide timely, customer-focused solutions Maintain accurate service records and job documentation Manage your mobile workshop (van) including tools, stock, organisation, and cleanliness Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and represent the company professionally Work independently while keeping clear communication with the Christchurch branch Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards

Trade qualification or strong experience in: Heavy diesel Auto electrical Agricultural or machinery servicing

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently with excellent time management Good communication and customer service skills Reliability, honest, and flexibility are essential Forklift experience Full NZ driver licence – F endorsement and OSH cert Ability to do call outs after hours.
