Home Support North is looking for a motivated Marketing & Business Development Officer to support our General Manager and help drive growth, visibility, and service excellence across Northland.
About Us Operating since 1994, Home Support North (HSN) is the largest provider of home and community support in Northland, supporting disabled people of all ages — with many of our clients aged 65+ living with age-related disabilities. We work alongside key funders including the Ministry of Health, Whaikaha, and ACC to deliver quality home-based care services across the region.
About the Role As our Marketing & Business Development Officer, you will take the lead on marketing coordination and support business development activity by:
Growing our brand presence across Northland Supporting business partnerships and community engagement Creating marketing content and campaigns that drive awareness Supporting reporting, insights, and improvement initiatives Helping maintain professional communication across our channels
You’ll work closely with the General Manager and the wider leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Growth: Support the development and delivery of HSN’s marketing plan Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and promotions Help run digital campaigns, email marketing, and community outreach Ensure consistent brand messaging and presentation across platforms Assist with website updates and marketing collateral (brochures, resources)
Business Development & Relationships: Help identify growth opportunities, partnerships, and sector connections Support stakeholder engagement with community and service partners Assist with market insights, competitor awareness, and service positioning Reporting, Insights & Improvement Support Assist with collecting data, trends, and KPI reporting Support quality improvement initiatives and process updates Help with dashboards, reporting, and internal communications as needed
Administration & Office Support: Manage the general enquiries inbox and support front-office tasks Assist with ordering supplies and general business support duties
About You: We’re looking for someone who is: -Organised, proactive, and full of initiative -Confident writing professional content and communications -Comfortable working with data, reporting, and insights -A relationship-builder who enjoys working with diverse people -Calm under pressure with a great sense of humour

Job Requirements
You’ll ideally have: • A qualification in Marketing, Business, or similar (highly desirable) • 2+ years experience in marketing, business support, admin, or business development • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) • Confidence using CRM tools or marketing systems (HubSpot/Salesforce is a bonus) • Must be able to pass MOJ
