Supermarket Assistant / Forklift Driver (F endorsement)

New World Green Bay is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and physically fit team member to join our store. This role involves operating a forklift for approximately 30-40% of the time, including loading and unloading pallets, with the remaining 60% or more spent replenishing Grocery, Chilled, and Frozen shelves, as well as receiving deliveries in the storeroom.

This position offers hours across multiple departments, giving you the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and gain valuable experience throughout the store. You’ll be trained in shelf replenishment, stock handling, and goods receipting.

Must be motivated to learn new skills and have previous supermarket or frontline customer service experience (an advantage but not essential)

Must hold a forklift licence with F Endorsement, with some experience preferred

Must hold a full Class 1 driver's licence with reliable transport

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check, and have no criminal convictions

Must be comfortable working in cold environments down to -20 degree Celsius

Must be comfortable cleaning up the Butchery area to maintain high food safety and hygiene standards

Must have excellent physical fitness for repetitive lifting up to 25 kg and standing for long periods of time

Must be hard-working, reliable and passionate about working in the supermarket industry, with a fantastic attitude, strong work ethic and a commitment to making the workplace great

Must have excellent verbal communication skills, be people-focused and enjoy engaging with customers with enthusiasm
