Are you a warm, trustworthy, and customer-focused person who enjoys working independently and taking pride in keeping things running smoothly? Our family-owned self storage business in Horotiu is looking for a new Self Storage Consultant to join our small, supportive team.
As the friendly, reliable face of our facility; You’ll assist customers, keep the site clean and well maintained, and confidently manage the day-to-day operations on your assigned days. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of customer service, hands-on tasks, and independent work.
This is a part me position currently for two days per week (Wednesday and Friday), with the intention of increasing to three days per week later in the year as our new storage block opens.
You’ll be interacting with customers by email, phone, and in person, managing storage unit bookings, processing payments, and ensuring the facility remains safe, dry, and welcoming.
You’ll also carry out practical tasks such as cleaning units, sweeping driveways, performing minor maintenance, and helping keep the site secure.

Job Requirements
• Integrity — trustworthy and confident working alone without supervision • Excellent customer service skills, including email, phone, and in person communication • Self-motivated — able to manage your own workload and keep busy independently • Physically fit, able to carry out cleaning and light maintenance tasks • Computer literate — comfortable using databases, email, printer/scanner, and payment processing • Practical and hands on, able to complete minor maintenance such as: - replacing a trolley tyre - spraying weeds - cutting a padlock with bolt cutters or grinder • Flexible — able to occasionally swap days or cover leave when needed • Pre-employment checks- Must Clear MOJ checks • Licence - At least Restricted, with reliable transport
