A Takanini based Small Engine Mechanic position is available with a well-established business specialising in outdoor power equipment and garden tools.
Duties include:
- Working on small engines, including lawnmowers, ride-on mowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power tools - Performing maintenance, repairs, servicing and troubleshooting on both 2-stroke and 4-stroke motors - Ensuring all equipment is kept in safe, working condition - Diagnosing and fixing faults, replacing parts and carrying out routine checks - Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace
The role will start at 30 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours in the future.
Job Requirements
• Experienced small engine mechanic - lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, weed-eaters etc. • Must be competent with 2 stroke & 4 stroke motors • Knowledgeable in repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently • Hold a Restricted or Full Class 1 driver's licence with reliable transport • Must be able to pass a pre-employment police check
- Days of work
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday 8:30am - 12:30pm. Closed Sunday and Public Holidays (30 hours per week)
