Support Workers – Napier & Hastings

A reputable employer is seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team in Napier and Hastings. In this role, you will support people with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their own homes and as active members of their community.

Key Responsibilities: Providing personal care, including showering, toileting, and dressing Supporting meal preparation and daily household tasks Assisting clients to attend community events and activities Supporting shopping and other outings Working with individuals who have complex needs Managing risk, ensuring safety, and providing individualised care Providing support during overnight shifts, as required

About You: Previous relevant experience is preferred, but not essential A caring, open-minded, empathetic and respectful attitude Ability to support individuals with complex needs and varying abilities Strong awareness of safety, dignity, and person-centred care Reliable, patient, and committed to helping others achieve their goals

Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults. A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours. Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts. Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support. Full NZ driver's license. Must be available to work all rostered shifts. Ability to pass drug test and MOJ check.
